New Tutorial 3/16/2014: Pinwheels
Pinwheels are so much fun! I created this tutorial specifically for Evelyn's Quilt, since it is a pinwheel quilt after all. They aren't particularly difficult to create, just difficult to explain.
Pinwheels can be used everywhere in quilting and I hope to have another version of how they can be used by the end of the summer.

New Tutorial 3/12/2014: Half Square Triangles
This tutorial is particularly belated. I finished the Half Square Triangle tutorial weeks ago, but posting it became a little difficult.
This these triangles are a fundamental part of piece quilting. I've used other methods to create half square triangles, but this one is the one I like the best.

New Tutorial 3/11/2014: Mitered Borders
Recently, I finished my Black and Blue quilt top and I realized that mitered borders can be difficult for anyone to understand. And though mine aren’t that perfect, I decided to lend my knowledge on how to create a mitered border.
Before you can make mitered borders for your quilt top, I suggest you read up on them. I learned how to put a mitered border together by reading The Complete Guide to Quilting by Better Homes and Garden. This book has detailed instructions on how to complete mitered borders as well as how to make a quilt from start to finish. This book has been a real resource for me. I highly suggest this book for any beginner. Look for my complete book review of The Complete Guide to Quilting sometime in the near future.
Mitered borders can give an ordinary border a bit a flare…pizazz. I’ve completed this tutorial in three separate parts: Measurement, Cutting the Borders and Sewing the Miters. I’ve made these instructions as simple as I can get them. But if you still have questions, feel free to email me.
Now, lets begin.
